One of the biggest challenges facing schools at the moment is in enabling children to be emotional available and in a position to learn effectively. Personal circumstances, life events or emotional and behavioural difficulties can not only have a huge affect on the lives of individual children but can also impact the whole class or school. Getting the right support and approach for children, their families and school staff is critical to their emotional well-being as well as promoting a positive learning environment.
With experience and expertise in working with and alongside schools in achieving this, I offer the following services:
- Training for school staff to enhance the learning relationship and improve the emotional well-being of children.
- Counselling and Therapeutic Play for pupils identified as needing support, either within the school environment or in a dedicated therapy room away from school, for a number of budgeted sessions.
- Setting up and/ or running a service within the school to provide emotional support, counselling and therapeutic play.
